Dr. Or Tuttnauer
I’m a political scientist doing comparative democracy research with a focus on institutions, party competition, and electoral behaviour. My works on parliamentary opposition, political parties, and electoral behavior have been published in American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, West European Politics, Party Politics, and more (see the full list of publications here).
I’m currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), where I lead a DFG-funded project on government-opposition relations and public attitudes. In the fall semester 2026-27 I’ll be a Replacement Professor for Empirical Democratic Research at Mannheim, teaching quantitative methods, scientific thinking, and other seminars (more on teaching here).
Outside the office, I’m a proud father of three and a loving lesser-half to my wife. I love hiking and traveling and can’t wait for my children to grow up a bit more so I could do these things more frequently with them.
